The new apprenticeship standards define the knowledge, skills and behaviours that an apprentice is required to learn in order to be deemed fully competent in a specific job role. The standard assessment plan sets out how the apprentice should be assessed in order to demonstrate that they have met the full standard criteria at the end of their apprenticeship journey.
These new standards contain on-programme training and assessment, plus a final End-point Assessment (EPA). This EPA must be delivered by an independent organisation that is recognised on the Apprenticeship Provider & Assessment Register (APAR), such as Active IQ.
