Active IQ, the UK’s leading Awarding Organisation for the Active Leisure, Learning and Wellbeing Sector, has been named as a finalist in two categories of the fourth annual FAB 2018 Awards, organised by the Federation of Awarding Bodies.
Active IQ is a finalist in the Awarding Organisation of the Year category, sponsored by Creatio and the Innovation of the Year category, sponsored by Advanced Secure Technologies. In the latter, the innovation it entered is the new Flair for Fitness Platform App developed by TRAIN ME and implemented by Active IQ for learners on its Level 2, Level 3 and Level 4 fitness, personal trainer and advanced PT qualifications.
The FAB 2018 Awards recognise the contributions made by awarding organisations and their employees to education and skills in the UK over the past year. The winners will be announced at the FAB 2018 Awards dinner, sponsored by Creatio, at the end of the first day of the FAB Conference, on 18 October at the Marriott Hotel in Leicester.
Tom Bewick, FAB Chief Executive, said “the FAB Awards is an opportunity for the industry to come together to celebrate success and share good practice. We received record numbers of entries for the FAB Awards this year and the standard as always has been exceptionally high. We look forward to announcing the winners at the Awards dinner on 18 October.”
“We are delighted to be shortlisted as a finalist in these two categories and to have our work recognised in this way,” says Jenny Patrickson, Active IQ managing director. “The FAB Awards are prestigious with nominations received from many industry sectors. To have the work we do in the leisure industry noticed among so many other dynamic industries is an achievement in itself and we are looking forward to celebrating with the other finalists at the dinner next month.”
