In this month’s spotlight feature, we interview Annette Tinkler, External Verifier
Q. Tell us about your role at Active IQ, how long have you worked here and what do you most enjoy?
A. Lead External Verifier. I have worked for Active IQ for 10 years. I have enjoyed seeing Active IQ grow in size over the last 10 years.
Q. What advice can you give people who aspire to be where you are?
A. Focus on your goal, work hard at achieving it, but also enjoy the journey that takes you there.
Q. What did you want to be when you were growing up?
A. An art teacher or a drum teacher.
Q. Tell us something we would never guess about you?
A. I use to make canoes as a job.
Q. What is the best advice you have ever been given?
A. Life is what you make it, so make it a good one.
Q. Which exercise do you most enjoy?
A. I love the outdoors, so mountain biking. Indoors, I love the spin bike and kettlebell exercises.
Q. Do you have any hidden talents?
A. I play the drums and reached grade 8.
Q. How would people describe you in three words?
A. Caring, reliable and determined.
