Job Title: EPA Assessor
Reporting to: EPA Compliance Manager
Staff supervised: N/A
Location: Remote working in the Central and South Region Of England, with occasional office attendance
Hours: Full Time (39 hours per week)
(possible part time hour opportunities may also be available)
Salary: £19,000 - £26,000 dependent upon experience 
Closing Date: 31st July 2020 (provisional interview dates are 6th and 7th August 2020). 

Job purpose

Responsible for a caseload of end point assessment activities under conditions, timescales and arrangements set by relevant EPA standards.

The role of the independent End Point Assessor is to assess apprentices competence against industry specific standards through conducting a range of assessment activities including live/remote observation of practice; remote/live professional discussions, panel interviews.

The post holder will also be required to support the Compliance Manager and EPA Standards Assessor and Verifier with relevant EPA activities as appropriate. 

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

  • Carry out caseload of end point assessment activities through remote and live visits as required
  • Complete and submit accurate, timely and informative reports and feedback regarding Active IQ EPA quality requirements
  • Completion of paper and electronic paperwork where required e.g. electronic portfolios
  • Work within agreed policies as directed by Active IQ
  • Attend relevant standardisation, team meetings and other professional development meetings as requested
  • Assess performance of apprentices in accordance with published Assessment plans for the relevant apprenticeship standards, including grading to ensure overall standards are maintained
  • Provide timely and informative feedback to apprentices regarding assessment outcomes
  • Follow and adhere to all relevant protocols as set out in relevant specifications, assessment materials and quality assurance protocols relating to end point assessments.
  • Ensure all service level agreements (SLA) are maintained and keep the EPA Compliance Manager informed of any potential delays to SLAs 
  • Ensure all feedback, issues are reported immediately to the EPA Compliance Manager
  • Contribute to external quality assurance activities undertaking by Active IQ’s external quality assurance providers where required

General:

  • Carry out any other tasks as appropriate to support EPA
  • Be a goodwill ambassador for Active IQ by the courteous treatment of all customers and apprentices, ensuring at all times the professionalism of the company is upheld
  • Ensure that company procedures are adhered to and actions documented where necessary
  • Maintain own health and safety, and that of staff and visitors, in accordance with the company’s health and safety policy
