To mark National Fitness Day on Wednesday 24 September 2025, StrongMen, Future Fit Training, and Active IQ are uniting in a powerful new initiative that blends fitness, education, and mental health support.
Their mission: to empower bereaved men across the UK with wellbeing qualifications, peer support, and opportunities to rebuild confidence through physical activity. Together, these organisations are showing how fitness can transform lives – not only by improving health but also by tackling some of the toughest challenges people face.
Charity hike for StrongMen – South Downs challenge
As part of the celebrations, around 20 volunteers and staff from all three organisations will take on a 14-mile circular charity hike through the stunning South Downs, starting and finishing in Amberley, West Sussex.
The goal is to raise £2,500 in support of StrongMen’s vital work – helping men navigate bereavement through peer-led support, retreats, and a growing volunteer network.
Join us – wherever you are
Even if you can’t make it to the South Downs, you can still take part in spirit. Simply set yourself the challenge of walking 14 miles on National Fitness Day, track your journey on your preferred fitness app, and share your success on social media.
Together, we can raise awareness, promote mental wellbeing, and show that every step counts.
