Introduction
The purpose of this qualification is to provide learners with the knowledge and skills to be able to plan and deliver Max Whitlock Gymnastic sessions. During the qualification learners will cover:
- The health, safety and safeguarding requirements for coaching a gymnastic session.
- The Max Whitlock Gymnastic core values.
- The key elements of gymnastic sessions.
- Planning and delivering Max Whitlock Gymnastic sessions.
- The key requirements for coaching children.
- Personal and professional development.
Entry requirements
- Some experience of recreational gymnastics is highly recommended.
- The course requires physical exertion, and individual participation is essential; therefore, a degree of physical fitness is necessary.
- There is an element of communication (discussing, presenting, reading and writing) involved and learners should have basic skills in communication pitched at Level 2.
